How
to get to Pattaya?
Pattaya
is 147 kilometers away from Bangkok.
By bus.
Buses for Pattaya depart every 20 minutes from Bangkok's Ekkamai
(Eastern) Bus Terminal, on Sukhumvit Road, adjacent to station E7
of the BTS Skytrain. Fast air-con buses cost 110 baht, while much
slower second class buses cost 73 baht (not reccomended). First
bus departs at 06:00 and last at 23:00. There
are also buses from Bangkok's Northern Mor Chit terminal and buses
direct from Don Muang as well (every 2 hours). The trip takes around
two hours, depending on traffic.
By car.
From Bangkok (or directly from Don Muang Airport) take a limo; costs
range between 1500-1800 baht. Prices are negotiable, Bangkok's licensed
taximeter cabs cannot go directly to Pattaya. Almost all hotels
in Bangkok may arrange trip by a car or minibus. The trip should
take around 1.5 hours.
